Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko, a Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai athlete from Peru, and an artist in mixed martial arts fighting for her country in UFC within the Flyweight Division. She is at present participating. She is older than her fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her journey as a Muay Thai boxer. She debuted in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the competition and beat Suzane Mill in the finals with a unanimous choice. Antonina won a medal of silver in 2007 and a medal that was bronze in 2008 as well as an award of gold in the year 2011. Then she won the title of IFMA Amateur World Muaythai Champ in the year 2016. Antonia started her professional career in 2003, and she won the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012 and the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016, and also the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships in 2016. Antonina defeated Isa Tudblad Keskikangas in her final fight at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was victorious by an unanimous vote. Antonina shevchenko fought her first professional MMA fight in 2002, against Anara bayanova during KFK's Cup in Kyrgystan. She was victorious via second round TKO and won her next 2 fights in the WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003. She compiled a record of 3-3-0. Shevchenko took a break from MMA to focus on her kickboxing. She then was able to make her return against Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa via unanimous decision and then defeated Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. In 2018, she resigned from the contest and started participating in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko faced Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina defeated Nievera by her impressive strike power through a clinch using knees to body. Following this victory Antonina received the opportunity to sign a UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko was able to make her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Hitters' Finale, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi via split decision fight after winning the first fight by unanimous decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss by defeating Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler via a rear-naked choke submission. The result earned her the bonus of a fight-of-the night. Shevchenko went 1-2 over the next three fights, defeating Ariane Lipski and falling to Katlyn Chookagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina was recently defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
