Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26 1991) is better known under her stage title Ari Lennox is an American singer and songwriter who hails from Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist to be affiliated with J. Cole's label Dreamville Records. Her debut EP Pho, released which was released on 21 October 2016 was released by Dreamville Records. She began to gain fame. Shea Butter Baby, her debut studio album, debuted on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox has been uploading her music since 2012, with the release of her debut mixtape "Five Finger Discount" and her EP Ariography. In 2014 she continued to release her music on the web, including her own released single Bound. The song was included in Omen's Elephant Eyes as well as on Sweat It Out on July 21 the 21st of July, 2015. J. Cole, who was part of the Dreamville team at the time, wanted to have her create Rihanna and Rihanna-related songs. On the 8th of December, it was announced that she was signed to Dreamville Records. Backseat was her contribution to The Revenge of the Dreamers II album. The 21st of October, 2016, she released her debut EP called Pho. Ari Lennox then appeared as the opening performance for J. Cole on his song Change in 2017, and appeared on the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour. Also, she was featured on the tracks Nothing but the Best by EarthGang and Icarus along with Bas the label's co-founders. On the 16th of July in 2018, Ari Lennox released the first single Whipped Cream on her first album Shea Butter Baby with an accompanying music video that was released on September 5. In November, she dropped two additional singles titled 40 Shades of Choke and Grampa. Two singles more were released on the 11th of November Pedigree and No One. Then she appeared on the Creed II soundtrack with Cole on a track titled Shea Butter Baby on November 16, and it was released as a single on February 26 2019 for her debut album of the same title. In February 2019 the music video for the track debuted. It has had more than three million YouTube views in just one week. She was part of the 6LACK's From East Atlanta With Love Tour back in December of 2018.
